Die Ausgesperrten follows four unlikely youths in 1950s Vienna who join forces to mug strangers. Two are fraternal twins, a blue‑collar worker, and a wealthy daughter craving “a little dirt.” Their crimes expose the stark divide of Austria’s post‑war “Economic Miracle,” while constantly reminding viewers of the lingering influence of the nation’s Nazi past and the silence that still surrounds it.
