Alicianne Del Mar takes a nanny job at the dilapidated Nordon estate after crashing her car en route. She wanders through the woods toward the familiar countryside, confident she can find the home. Mrs. Whitfield, an elderly woman with a dog, directs her to the estate.

Alicianne meets Mrs. Whitfield, an elderly nosy woman walking her dog, who directs her to the Nordon residence. The encounter plants a sense of unease as Alicianne prepares to meet the family. The guidance confirms she is on the right path to the large house.

In the woods, Alicianne spots a mutilated cat and later glimpses a clawed hand gripping a tree, signaling a malevolent force near the estate. These unsettling signs foreshadow that danger lurks beyond the familiar walls. The forest hides more than just shadows.

While approaching the Nordon house, Alicianne discovers an abandoned cemetery and sees a pallid figure cowering behind underbrush. The eerie sight terrifies her and she flees toward the house for safety. The cemetery hints at a history the family keeps hidden.

Alicianne is introduced to Mr. Nordon, his adult son Len, and the young Rosalie. Len confides that his mother was murdered by tramps years earlier, and Rosalie’s presence hints at unsettling, secret abilities. The family dynamics foreshadow hidden tensions.

Mrs. Whitfield is attacked at her home by an unseen presence. She hides in the basement as Rosalie taunts that she has brought her 'friends.' A claw-handed figure rips out Whitfield’s eye and murders her, revealing the danger encroaching on the town.

On Halloween, a jack-o’-lantern moves on its own in the Nordon den. Rosalie, dressed as a witch, goes into the woods to confront a tramp who possesses her mother’s jewelry, while an unseen assailant uses a shotgun to kill him. The night blends the uncanny with lethal violence.

Rosalie’s father rebukes her for sneaking out and questions why she spends so much time near the abandoned cemetery. Rosalie remains defiant and accuses him of killing her mother, deepening the rift between father and daughter. The family’s secrets begin to unravel.

Len finds the tramp’s corpse in the shack, while Alicianne witnesses a mutated figure peering into the window. The sightings heighten the sense that something monstrous stalks the estate. Each clue pulls the two protagonists deeper into danger.

Alicianne discovers Len’s father dead on the stairwell with his eye removed. The shock forces them to flee, but Len’s car breaks down, stranding them and leaving their escape perilously uncertain. The tension shifts from discovery to survival.

A mob of decayed zombies—the ‘friends’ of Rosalie—emerge from the cemetery to terrorize the duo. They manage to distract the attackers with the car horn and barricade themselves inside an abandoned factory building. The siege turns the night into a fight for their lives.

The zombies breach the factory as the danger closes in. Alicianne attacks an intruder with an axe and realizes too late that it is Rosalie. Rosalie dies from the blow, and Alicianne staggers out of the building into the night, a lone survivor of the nightmare.
