The Villainess

The film opens with a skilled female assassin navigating a dimly lit hallway. Demonstrating her lethal abilities, she efficiently takes out several foes with precision, showcasing her expertise in both firearms and close-quarters combat.

Upon entering a room where her boss, Park, awaits, the assassin eliminates him and his henchmen. This display of combat skill highlights her as a formidable threat, but her escape is thwarted as she faces off against the police.

Captured, the assassin finds herself in an undisclosed facility where she undergoes drugging and plastic surgery. During her recovery, she experiences vivid flashbacks of a mustached man who calls her Sook-hee and tries to resuscitate her after a breath-holding exercise.

The facility is revealed to be a front for South Korea's intelligence agency led by Kwon-sook. After informing her that her death has been faked, Kwon-sook offers Yeon-soo a chance at a new start in exchange for ten years of service, citing her unexpected pregnancy.

Reluctantly accepting her new life, Yeon-soo undergoes intense training over the next decade while giving birth to her daughter, Eun-hye. Training reveals both her physical prowess and her emotional struggles as she grapples with her past.

During a tattoo removal procedure, flashbacks transport Yeon-soo back to when she first received the tattoo as Sook-hee. The memories unveil her troubled past, including being tortured and later rescued by the mustached man, Lee Joong-sang.

On her first mission as an agent, a tragic incident triggers a haunting flashback of her father's murder. This past trauma intertwines with her current actions, illuminating the impact of Jang-Chun, whose fate is closely linked to her father's death.

After successfully completing her initial assignment, Yeon-soo moves into an apartment, unaware of the male agent, Jung-Hyun-soo, assigned to monitor her. Their growing bond hints at her desire for a normal life, obscured by the shadows of her past.
