The Street Fighter

Takuma Tsurugi is a ruthless streetfighter who dispenses his own brutal justice on criminals. Disguised as a Buddhist monk, he uses his oxygen coma punch to subdue Tateki Shikenbaru, triggering a chain of vengeance across the underworld. He pursues Sarai to protect her, taking on yakuza and Hong Kong gangs and challenging traditional authority. In the finale, he is left critically wounded but is aided by Sarai and Dinsau as the dust settles.

Rakuda is Tsurugi's reckless yet loyal sidekick who assists in ambushes and rescues. He shares Tsurugi's contempt for criminals and participates in daring maneuvers, but his loyalty is tested as circumstances escalate. He ultimately dies by Shikenbaru's sword in a reckless bid for redemption.

Sarai is the daughter of a recently deceased oil tycoon, protected at a Seibukan dojo by her uncle Masaoka. She becomes a target of the underworld and initially protests Tsurugi's protection, but she is ultimately aided by him and Dinsau in the final moments.

Kendō Masaoka is a Karate master and Sarai's uncle who recognizes Tsurugi as the half-Chinese son of a master he knew. He resists Tsurugi at first but ultimately agrees to protect Sarai, balancing tradition with the present danger.

Dinsau is the Kowloon Triad boss who leads the Hong Kong faction's underworld alliance and recruits Shikenbaru for vengeance. He negotiates with Tsurugi and ultimately shares a moment of aid in the final scene as Sarai and Dinsau help him to stand.

Tateki Shikenbaru is a condemned murderer released by the underworld to fight Tsurugi. He seeks vengeance for his siblings and clashes with Tsurugi throughout the film, culminating in a brutal duel in which Tsurugi rips out his vocal cords.
