The Stolen Princess

In an ancient magical realm, Finn and Chornomor clash in a fierce duel to save Nina. Finn initially gains the upper hand but is lured into stepping on a hidden force field, losing all his magic and youth, which transfers to Chornomor. Nina is transformed into a stone statue in exchange for her love as the source of Chornomor's power.

In present day, Ruslan, a wandering artist, acts in a small play written by the eccentric playwright Lester, portraying Finn and Chornomor. The performance introduces Mila, a princess living in a nearby castle who longs for adventure. The show foreshadows the legend and sets Ruslan on a future quest.

Mila sneaks out of her guarded life and is nearly harassed by two gangsters. Ruslan intervenes, saving her, and they flee the danger together. To avoid judgment about his status, Ruslan pretends to be a knight.

The next day, Ruslan and Mila share a growing attraction, but Chornomor abducts Mila by conjuring a tornado. He tries to pursue her but is knocked unconscious during the escape. The romance is interrupted by the abduction, forcing their quest to begin.

King Vladimir accuses Ruslan of abducting Mila, and Ruslan struggles to prove his innocence. Ruslan and Lester realize that Chornomor is real and dangerous, and they seek help from a wise cat living in a cave. The cat explains Mila's fate and the centuries-long cycle of abductions.

The cat reveals the pattern of Chornomor's power tied to stolen love and helps the duo locate Mila. They receive a magic pea pod as a gift and set off on a perilous journey. At a cliff, a hamster steals the pod, forcing them to retrieve it to unlock a bridge built from a dragon's skeleton.

Mila wakes inside Chornomor's castle and confronts the tyrant who plans to turn her into stone with Ruslan's love. She uses an invisibility hat to escape threats and fights off animated desserts that come to life in the castle. She discovers other princesses turned to stone and begins to plot her escape.

Ruslan and Lester meet Finn, disguised as an eccentric old man guarding a staff, and realize Finn is paranoid after years of isolation. They feign a spell to lure him down, capture him, and discover vital clues for stopping Chornomor.

Finn tells them that Chornomor's power lies in his beard, so Ruslan needs a magical sword to cut it. They locate the sword but face a wind of danger—an army of skeletal soldiers and a giant's head guarding the way.

Ruslan and the team reach Chornomor's castle and split up to find Mila. Ruslan finds Mila wearing a new outfit and discovers she doesn't want rescuing, which shatters his hopes and tests his resolve.

A giant monster attacks the group, and Lester urges Ruslan to fight. Though heartbroken, Ruslan regains his courage and decides to stand his ground to protect Mila and their companions.

Ruslan duels Chornomor as he transforms into a dragon. After an initial defeat, Ruslan manages to incapacitate Chornomor by cutting his beard, stripping him of power and ending the stone curse on the other princesses.

Caught in a force field while attempting to escape with Mila, Ruslan pushes her to safety and sacrifices himself. The three knights interrupt the rescue attempt, and Ruslan's soul is seemingly zapped away. Mila mourns but vows to continue fighting for him.

Finn returns rejuvenated and uses magic to restore Ruslan to life, reuniting him with Mila, Lester, and Nina. Mila accepts that Ruslan is not a true knight but loves him anyway, and they share a kiss as fireworks light the sky.

The credits show Ruslan and Mila getting married and starting a happy life together. Nina is revived, and the group celebrates their love and new life as Finn conjures a celebratory fireworks display.
