Neurotic Broadway star Al Jackson confronts career disaster after an unexpected loss of his singing voice. Sent to the countryside to recuperate, he meets Ruth Haines, a warm‑hearted farm girl who also happens to be the caring aunt of the lively little Sybil. Their budding romance offers him hope and a chance at renewal.
