Captain Crow reveals to Jacob that their next target, the elusive Red Bluster, is the very creature that once cost him his left eye. This revelation sets the stage for their ultimate showdown with a beast that has instilled fear in all hunters.

Upon returning to Three Bridges to collect their rewards, the crew is shocked to learn they are to be replaced by a modern naval vessel, the *Emperor*, commanded by Admiral Hornagold. This unceremonious dismissal causes tensions to flare.
