The following day, the kidnappers release a chilling videotape demanding the release of 690 detainees from a Muslim concentration camp in Kot Lakhpat. Additionally, they request 700,000 for the children of Waziristan, heightening the urgency of Rainier's situation.

In the midst of the crisis, Bobby Lincoln, an American journalist and covert CIA informant, seeks to uncover the truth behind Rainier's kidnapping. He arranges an interview with Changez Khan, a colleague of Rainier's who is rumored to have connections to the kidnappers.
