Sangai, a teenage girl in a remote Bhutanese village, lives with her father, a craftsman who creates wooden phalluses believed to possess mystical properties. He also performs as a clown at local festivals, wearing a distinctive red mask. Sangai begrudgingly delivers these phalluses to their neighbors, but finds herself pursued by masked men during her journeys through the hills. As the father grapples with concerns about his legacy, conflict and tension arise between him and Sangai, who is also involved in a secret relationship with a married man.
