The Real Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Five young adults travel through Texas toward a concert after visiting Mexico to buy marijuana. They pick up a traumatized hitchhiker who insists they are going the wrong way and forces Kemper to stop. The tension begins as an uneasy ride turns eerie.

The hitchhiker mutters about 'a bad man' and forces Kemper to halt. She pulls a revolver from her dress and ends her own life in the middle of the road. The group reels from the shock and realizes they are vulnerable.

Seeking help, they stop at a gas station where the proprietor Luda Mae sends them to meet Sheriff Hoyt at Old Crawford Mill. The advice sounds straightforward, but the route seems cursed. The sense of danger grows with every mile.

When they reach the Old Crawford Mill, they instead encounter Jedidiah, a young boy claiming Hoyt is at home drunk. Erin and Kemper prepare to push on to find real help while Morgan, Andy, and Pepper stay behind with Jedidiah. The uneasy dynamic at the mill hints at a trap.

Erin and Kemper trek through the woods to locate a real aid, and Erin is allowed inside by Monty to call for help. Kemper enters further into Monty's plantation home, where danger lurks. The rescue attempt escalates quickly.

Kemper is struck in the head with a sledgehammer by Leatherface and dragged into the basement. The group's attempt to reach help collapses as the killer takes control of the situation. Erin is forced to confront the horror from the outside.

Hoyt arrives at the mill, seizes the hitchhiker's body, and compounds the chaos by finding marijuana on the dash. He orders Erin and Pepper out of the van and instructs Morgan to reenact the hitchhiker's suicide using her gun, which is unloaded. The tension spikes as the family’s grip tightens.

Leatherface attacks Andy with a chainsaw after a chase and later severs his left leg. He drags Andy to the basement and impales him on a meat hook, ending his struggle. Erin's frantic efforts to help only heighten the danger.

Leatherface targets Pepper and kills her during the pursuit. Erin hides in a trailer belonging to the Tea Lady and Henrietta, where she realizes they have kidnapped the hitchhiker's baby and drugged her tea. The nightmare grows as captivity tightens.

Erin wakes up inside the Hewitt family house surrounded by Leatherface, Luda Mae, Hoyt, Monty, and Jedidiah. In the basement, she finds Andy still hanging on the meat hook and bravely ends his misery with a knife. The realization dawns that escape will require cunning.

Erin and a wounded Morgan flee the basement and reach an abandoned wooden shack in the woods. Jedidiah helps by distracting Leatherface to give them cover as they regroup. The hunt intensifies as Leatherface closes in.

Leatherface corners Morgan in the shack, hanging him from a chandelier and killing him with a chainsaw. Erin continues to fight Leatherface, surviving by staying ahead and using the environment. The brutality escalates as the showdown nears its end.

Erin and Leatherface duel through a slaughterhouse, where she uses a meat cleaver to strike back and sever Leatherface's right arm. She finally manages to break free and flee into the woods with the baby. The killer's threat has not yet ended, but the escape continues.

Erin attempts to flag down a trucker, then steals Hoyt's car with the hitchhiker's baby inside. She rams Hoyt's car to escape, while Leatherface slashes the car's exterior with his chainsaw. Erin escapes with the baby to safety.

Two officers investigating the Hewitt house are killed by Leatherface, cementing the horror of the night. The case remains unsolved as Leatherface’s rash actions go unchecked. The community is left with a chilling legend and a warning about the danger that still lurks.
