The Outsider

At the centre of this uneasy landscape stands Nick Lowell, a former American Marine captain who has become the lone foreigner behind the iron bars of an Osaka prison. Surrounded by the unmistakable irezumi tattoos of hardened yakuza inmates, he must learn to read a language of gestures, loyalties, and silent threats that differ wildly from the discipline of his former life.
