Meanwhile, Mitsuko Nakata, Chieko's twin sister separated in childhood, struggles with financial difficulties at her forestry business outside Kyoto. Mitsuko’s daughter, Yui, an aspiring artist, travels to France where she feels lost, prompting Mitsuko to visit her. Mai also journeys to Paris to showcase Japanese culture, bringing together these interconnected lives.
