Factory owner Pardon meets Olga, daughter of clairvoyant Stefanie Lesczynska, at a ball, but they part when the women leave. Fifi Hrazánková courts Pardon, so he asks Uncle Cyril Ponděliček to let Olga take his job to discourage her. Fifi seduces the uncle, and Pardon gives Olga and Stefanie shelter at the uncle’s house as he pretends to be Pardon.
