Cosmo Vittelli, a cabaret owner, struggles with a serious gambling addiction that puts his business and the people he cares about in jeopardy. Owing a substantial debt to a loan shark, he becomes entangled in a dangerous situation involving a ruthless mobster. Cosmo’s loyalty to his performers and employees is tested as he fights to protect his livelihood and navigate a deadly game of cat and mouse.
