The Jungle Bunch

An iceberg carrying an emperor penguin egg washes ashore on the banks of the African jungle. The Jungle Champs—Natacha, Tony, Goliath, and Ricky—rally to protect the inhabitants from Igor’s schemes. The egg becomes a mysterious focal point that drives the early conflict.

Igor nearly slips away in a small boat, but is knocked back by the moving iceberg. He tries to smash the egg delivered by the iceberg, yet is defeated by The Champs. The egg ends up stranded on a tree, untouched and surrounded by danger.

Natacha exiles Igor to the Island of the Lost, where he mentions explosive mushrooms that are already starting to erupt. She hurries back to shore to help as a jungle fire erupts. Ricky sacrifices himself to save others by throwing the egg to safety.

Following Ricky’s death, Natacha believes The Champs caused it and dissolves the team with Goliath and Tony. The jungle loses its unified guardians as old grudges flare.

From the egg saved by Ricky, a baby emperor penguin named Maurice hatches and is raised by Natacha. Goliath leaves the group after the Champs collapse, while Natacha and Tony stay to raise Maurice. As Maurice grows, he dreams of following his mother’s path and protecting the jungle.

Igor guards a palm tree seed and partners with Surimi the coconut crab as his lieutenant for future schemes. He nurtures the seed, waiting for the right moment to strike back at the Jungle Bunch and The Champs. The seed and Surimi become key components of his plan.

Maurice leads the newly formed Jungle Bunch, joined by Junior, Miguel, Gilbert, Batrica, Al, and Bob. They rescue elephants forced to serve olive baboons threatening a sacred totem, proving their resolve as jungle guardians. Maurice’s leadership drives the group’s ongoing missions.

The Jungle Bunch encounters a burning tree and is lured into a trap by Igor. He reveals to them that Maurice is Natacha’s son, tying the conflict to family lines. He outlines his plan to destroy them, and then The Champs, before leaving to execute it.

Natacha resolves to revive The Champs with Goliath and Tony but keeps Maurice and the Jungle Bunch out of it for now. She intends to protect Maurice from old rivalries while ensuring the jungle remains safe. The decision widens the rift between Maurice and the Champs.

The Champs clash with Igor again, but Maurice tries to help by catapulting himself and his son, which allows Igor to escape and take Junior hostage. The failed intervention deepens Maurice’s guilt and fractures their alliance.

While trapped, Maurice recalls the moment he found the egg and sheltered the hatched Junior, realizing how he became Maurice’s son. The memory deepens his resolve to protect the jungle and its inhabitants. This recollection marks a turning point in his willingness to act alongside others.

Maurice and the Jungle Bunch disguise themselves as baboons to slip into Igor’s lair and release The Champs. They fight the baboons and rescue the captured heroes while Batrica confesses love for Gilbert amid the chaos. Igor triggers his mushroom bombs and escapes.

Maurice orders an evacuation of jungle inhabitants as the teams rush to stop the giant mushroom bomb. Gilbert’s plan helps them knock down additional bombs, and Junior extinguishes a belt fire that could reignite the crisis. The group narrowly prevents disaster and saves the jungle.

Igor is defeated and disappears after the confrontation. The Champs decide to retire, while the Jungle Bunch vow to continue protecting the jungle in Maurice’s absence. The balance shifts in favor of Maurice’s team as the new guardians.

In the Island of the Lost, Igor survives with Surimi. After the credits, another palm seed appears, but a seagull seizes it, leaving Igor plotting anew. The ending hints at ongoing rivalries and future schemes.
