The Inglorious Bastards

Five criminals—Berle, Nick Colasanti, Fred 'Assassin', Tony, and Lt. Yeager—are sentenced to death in France and shipped toward a prisoners' camp near the Ardennes. The grim transport binds them together as unlikely allies under heavy guard.

A flat tire and a Luftwaffe air raid give the group a chance to escape. Yeager steps up to lead the breakout and plans to defect to neutral Switzerland.

The group rests at an abandoned French factory where they capture a hidden German soldier who claims to be a criminal on the run. Despite misgivings, Yeager insists on taking him along as a potential asset against future attacks.

The captured German soldier proves useful, convincing a patrol that the Americans are his prisoners. The group fights their pursuers and escapes after the deception, consolidating their fugitive alliance.

The group encounters German nurses bathing in a river. They attempt to pose as German soldiers, but the nurses realize they are Americans and open fire. Tony, Nick, Berle, and Fred escape to a nearby camp.

German soldiers arrive at the camp; Yeager uses the captured German to talk to them. The German discovers the group are actually Americans disguised as Germans and is killed trying to warn Yeager's group. Yeager's men return fire and kill the disguised Americans, who were on an espionage mission.

With no other option, Colonel Buckner assigns Yeager's group the task of destroying an armored train carrying a prototype of the V-2 missile.

Fred and Buckner are captured; Yeager, Tony, Berle, and Nick mount an attack on a Nazi fortification to free them.

Buckner explains the mission details and the plan to destroy the armored train carrying the V-2 prototype, outlining the risks and the expected challenges.

During the assault, Nick loses contact with the team and is killed. His death underscores the growing danger and the cost of their mission.

Berle is killed by the train driver during the breach of the armored train. The loss heightens the peril faced by the remaining operatives.

With hope fading, Lt. Yeager detonates the armored train, taking the explosion and the missiles with him. The sacrifice secures the destruction of the V-2 initiative and the station.

Fred, wounded, escapes into the countryside and fights to survive on his own. The group’s immediate mission ends in disaster, yet a sliver of survival remains for him.

Colonel Buckner survives, and Tony returns to Nicole. The end presents a fragile homecoming after the brutal mission and the high cost in lives.
