Steve Grey, reporter for the Daily Star, scoops rivals. When Henry Mander is investigated for his shady partner’s murder, Grey stays a step ahead of police and dictates his story in advance. His reporting secures Mander’s conviction and death sentence. Columnist Mary Shannon loves Steve and, while typing his recorded dictation, discovers why he can’t speak the truth.
