In this captivating adventure, the Care-a-lot gang is surprised by a visit from the White Rabbit, who is the uncle of Swift Heart Rabbit. He urgently seeks their help to find the missing Princess of Heart, who is meant to be crowned queen in Wonderland. This pivotal event is critical, as it could thwart the diabolical plans of the Wizard of Wonderland, who aims to claim the throne for himself.
The brave team, including Tenderheart Bear, Grumpy, Good Luck, Brave Heart, Lotsa Heart, Swift Heart Rabbit, and the White Rabbit, embark on a worldwide quest to locate the missing royal. Despite their valiant efforts, they initially struggle to find any leads. However, fate introduces them to a young girl named Alice, who bears a striking resemblance to the missing princess. Consequently, the Care Bears decide she might serve as an effective proxy until the true Princess is discovered. As they strategize this unconventional plan, their unity is tested when the Wizard's dark magic separates them. Grumpy, Swift Heart Rabbit, and the White Rabbit find themselves seeking refuge through a rabbit hole that leads them to the enchanting realm of Wonderland.
Once they arrive, Tenderheart and his companions receive essential help from Officer Caterpillar, guiding them toward the majestic Heart Palace. Meanwhile, the Wizard sends his bumbling minions, Dim and Dum, to capture Alice using technologically advanced battle robots. However, the Care Bears rise to the occasion, utilizing their powerful Care Bear Stare to thwart the villain's plans and reunite with Grumpy and the others.
In a twist involving the enigmatic Cheshire Cat, the group splits into two. Tenderheart, Lotsa Heart, Alice, and the White Rabbit are directed toward Heart Palace, while Brave Heart, Grumpy, Good Luck, and Swift Heart pursue the mysterious Mad Hatter, who holds crucial information about the missing Princess. Tensions mount as the Wizard captures Alice, revealing his desire to rule Wonderland with an iron grip upon claiming the throne. Despite her predicament, Alice bravely stumbles into the Queen of Hearts' throne room, where she's mistakenly welcomed as a daughter figure - albeit a false one.
Simultaneously, Brave Heart's group successfully locates the Mad Hatter, who leads them to the lair of the fearsome Jabberwocky. In a climactic moment, Grumpy rescues the Princess from this daunting creature, but not without some peril; the Jabberwocky sustains an injury from a thorn lodged in his foot. Grumpy and the others’ selfless actions earn them the gratitude of the Jabberwocky, who prefers to be referred to as Stan. In appreciation, Stan agrees to join forces with the Care Bears and assist in their mission to return to the Heart Palace and rescue the Princess.
As the highly anticipated day of the Princess's coronation approaches, the cunning Wizard devises a scheme to expose Alice's true identity before the high court, aiming to prove her non-royal lineage. Undeterred by the threat, Alice embarks on a perilous ascent up a mountain to seize a vial of sacred water from a mystical spring. While secretly supported by Tenderheart and Lotsa Heart, Alice’s courageous act culminates in her selfless donation of the precious liquid to a severely injured unicorn, infuriating the Wizard.
In an astonishing display of magic, the Princess makes a surprise reappearance, commanding the flowers of the palace garden to bloom brilliantly, symbolizing her indomitable spirit. Caught off guard by this unexpected twist, the Wizard must confront the ramifications of his treachery, ultimately confessing that he orchestrated the Princess's kidnapping. As the Care Bears, Alice, and their fantastical allies confront the Wizard, a surge of collective anger is palpable. The dramatic entrance of the formidable Jabberwocky throws the bewildered villain into chaos, leading to his inevitable arrest.
In the aftermath of these tumultuous events, the Princess is crowned queen, revered for her wisdom and compassion. As joy and celebration fill the air, Alice and the Care Bears are granted a safe journey back home, their bond with the magical realm forever enriched by the challenges they've faced together.
