The Blair Witch Project

Three film students, led by director Heather Donahue, set off for Burkittsville, Maryland. Their goal is to document the eerie Blair Witch legend, completely unaware of the perilous journey that awaits them.

The crew learns about the local lore surrounding the Blair Witch, which dates back to the late 1700s. They discover the story of Elly Kedward, accused of witchcraft and blamed for the mysterious disappearances of children in the village.

In their quest for information, the trio interviews various locals, including an eccentric woman named Mary Brown. Mary shares her bizarre encounter with the Blair Witch, claiming it took the form of a half-human beast.

Motivated by their findings, the students venture into the infamous woods associated with the legend. They film their exploration, capturing footage of the surroundings, despite undercurrents of tension starting to emerge.
