Tetsuo II: Body Hammer

Two skinheads approach during a family trip and abduct Minori with an injection gun, injecting him with an unknown substance. Tomoo and Kana react in shock as the abduction unfolds, fearing for their son's life. The pursuers retreat after the incident, leaving Minori physically unharmed but the family shaken.

The traumatic encounter haunts Tomoo and he begins training, discovering that he has enormous physical power. He realizes he can perform feats far beyond his normal capabilities. This sudden transformation marks the start of a struggle between humanity and something more machine-like.

Minori is kidnapped again from Tomoo's house, sparking a desperate chase that leads to a rooftop confrontation. Minori is thrown off the edge, and Tomoo's arm morphs into a cannon, killing the skinhead as he fights to save his son. The couple is left devastated by the loss.

The skinheads retreat to their hideout where their accomplices prepare for the experiment with the injection gun. They meet the Mad Scientist, who oversees the test and reports the results back to the group. The mood shifts to a darker, technocratic ritual of transformation.

Yatsu declares the cult's goal is destruction and that every member will receive an injection. Believing the injection gun is complete, Yatsu kills the Mad Scientist before Tomoo can be killed, escalating the plan to its next phase.

The injection gun is used by all cult members, and they rapidly transform into machine-like beings. Tomoo is pursued by a skinhead through an abandoned factory, intensifying the sense that the world is turning into metal and muscle.

One transformed cult member taunts Tomoo with the memory of his son’s death, pushing him over the edge. He unleashes his power in a ferocious response, furthering his own metamorphosis.

Kana later reveals that the injection gun was imperfect and the cultists' bodies begin to rust. It also becomes clear that Tomoo's powers were present all along but were blocked by a hidden memory.

Kana discovers that Tomoo’s injection was blocked by a pocket organizer, meaning he has always possessed this power. Panicking, she flees their home, only to be kidnapped by the cult once more.

In the cult hideout, Yatsu explains to Kana that her husband has extraordinary power but chooses not to use it unless pushed. The revelation deepens her fear for what he might become.

Tomoo locates the cult hideout and confronts Yatsu. Kana appears to be killed during the encounter, a tragedy that drives Tomoo to unleash his full transformation.

Tomoo and Yatsu fight, with Tomoo gaining the upper hand. Yatsu shoots a cable into Tomoo, linking their minds in a desperate bid to control him.

A flashback reveals Tomoo and Yatsu are brothers raised by a father who sought a perfect weapon. The father trained them with guns grafted into their bodies and killed their mother in a disturbing ritual, shattering Tomoo's memory and sanity.

Tomoo and Yatsu merge into a colossal half-human, half-metal creature, later absorbing the cultists to become an armored vehicle. The machine rumbles through the city as Kana clings to its side, trapped by the monstrous fusion.

Some time later, Kana, Tomoo in his human form, and their son walk through the desolate ruins of a city. Kana remarks on the eerie calm that now surrounds them, suggesting a fragile, unsettling peace after all they have endured.
