Radhe Mohan leads the Student Union and rides a wave of power. His victory is followed by celebrations that spill into a confrontation, revealing the fragility beneath his bravado.

Radhe's first encounter with Nirjara, a timid Brahmin girl, begins a slow-blooming connection as he steps in to help her in small moments. Their budding warmth hints at a bond that could soften his rough edges.

Radhe musters the courage to propose to Nirjara, joking about fighting her father if he objects; the humor carries a risky charm. Nirjara responds with a quiet 'yes', though the deeper meaning remains veiled.

Radhe and his friends intimidate Nirjara's fiancé, Rameshwar, testing Radhe's growing attachment. The confrontation exposes the line between affection and aggression as Nirjara watches.

Radhe brings Nirjara a gift the next day, hoping to win her over; she reveals she does not love him and sees him as a goon. The moment wounds his pride and he withdraws to reflect.

When a friend is threatened, Radhe initially escalates but then astonishingly steps back, letting the aggressor escape. Nirjara arrives at the tense scene and sees the first glimmer of restraint in him, altering her perception.

Mamata, Nirjara's sister, faces financial desperation and is nearly drawn into prostitution in a brothel under the lure of a loan. Radhe's concern widens the scope of danger around Nirjara's circle.

Radhe follows Mamata to the brothel to confront the men harassing her and fights off a police raid in the process to keep Mamata safe. Through these events he learns about the precarious lives of the women near him.

Mamata reveals that her husband Aatmaram has kicked her out and demands money for custody; Radhe disciplines Aatmaram by beating him to force him to take Mamata back.

Radhe abducts Nirjara, intent on making her listen to his love; she is overwhelmed at first but her fear yields to a slow, reluctant affection. Their relationship grows in the shadow of social obstacles.

A brutal retaliation by the brothel owner and his goons leads to a train accident where Radhe is knocked against a train buffer, sustaining brain damage and hair loss. His family commits him to a religious institution for mental patients.

Radhe is placed in a harsh ashram where conditions are brutal; his mind flickers between lucidity and confusion as wardens fail to understand him.

Nirjara visits the facility, but when Radhe awakens, she cannot hear him and leaves in tears. The family counsel urges her to forget him and marry Rameshwar.

On the day Nirjara's wedding to Rameshwar is set, Radhe somehow escapes and reaches her home, only to learn that Nirjara has taken her own life. He is devastated and limps away as friends and family pursue him.

The wardens take him back to the institution; the film closes with Radhe stepping into a van, a broken man whose life was shifted irreversibly by the loss he endured.
