Tarzan’s Greatest Adventure

The village of Mantu is raided under cover of darkness as thieves steal dynamite. The village doctor and the radio operator rush to stop them but are fatally shot. Before dying, the operator gasps 'Slade' over the shortwave radio, revealing the mastermind behind the attack.

Tarzan is awakened by drums signaling trouble. He leaves his treehouse and arrives at Mantu to find a funeral underway for the slain villagers, setting a somber tone for the pursuit ahead.

A police inspector informs Tarzan about the raid and points him toward Slade and his gang. Tarzan resolves to track down the raiders and bring them to justice.

Tarzan departs by canoe to chase Slade. A small plane circles and taunts him with low flyovers, but its engine stalls and crashes, dumping Angie, an American ex-fashion model, into the river.

Reluctant to abandon her, Tarzan ferries Angie and her belongings along as they continue toward Slade's hideout. Angie becomes an unexpected ally in the perilous pursuit.

Slade and his quartet travel by riverboat toward a secret diamond mine, intending to use the stolen dynamite to excavate the gems. The crew remains suspicious of one another as they press on.

Their riverboat malfunctions, triggering distrust among the thieves. One man abandons the boat and later drowns in quicksand, signaling the danger that lies ahead in the treacherous river route.

Tarzan catches up to the raiders and nails a fellow thief with a bow and arrow, but the fight leaves him injured. Angie steps in to tend his wounds, deepening their uneasy partnership.

Angie tries to steal medical supplies from Slade's boat and is captured. Slade uses her as bait to lure Tarzan into a trap, a ploy that costs the life of another accomplice when it fails.

Only Slade and the ex-Nazi Kreiger remain as the mine nears. Kreiger offers Slade all his diamonds for release, but Slade coldly kills Kreiger rather than bargaining, underscoring their ruthlessness.

Nursed back to health by Angie, Tarzan recovers and renews his pursuit of Slade. The growing bond between Tarzan and Angie drives their shared determination to stop the thieves.

In a climactic confrontation, Slade fires at Tarzan from a river bluff. Tarzan resists a wire noose and, through sheer strength and endurance, pushes Slade off the cliff onto the rocks below.

Having defeated Slade, Tarzan makes his way back upriver to Mantu and his treehouse, ending the pursuit and returning to his home among the trees. The villagers welcome him back as the danger has passed.
