Tangled

A drop of sunlight forms a magical flower that glows with healing power. This flower's magic will later become linked to Rapunzel, who is born from its glow.

Soldiers from the kingdom of Corona retrieve the flower to heal the queen. The queen gives birth to Rapunzel, and Rapunzel's hair is revealed to contain the flower's magic.

Gothel sneaks into the castle, cuts a lock of Rapunzel's hair, and realizes the hair's magic is tied to the flower. She abducts Rapunzel and hides her away in a hidden tower in the woods.

Every year on Rapunzel's birthday, the king and queen release sky lanterns in hopes of guiding her home. The lanterns become a beacon of hope and a reminder of Rapunzel's missing presence.

Rapunzel is fascinated by the lanterns and asks to leave the tower to explore the outside world. Gothel refuses, insisting the outside world is dangerous and that Rapunzel must stay hidden.

Flynn Rider steals the royal crown from the palace and betrays his partner, the Stabbington brothers. He ends up a wanted fugitive pursued by the royal guards.

Fleeing capture, Flynn hides in Rapunzel's tower after being knocked out. Rapunzel negotiates a deal: she will take him to the lanterns if he returns the crown.

The duo visits the Snuggly Duckling pub where Flynn tries to scare Rapunzel into returning home. Rapunzel wins over the patrons, who reveal their softer sides and help them evade the guards.

The pair is trapped in a fast-flooding cave and fear suffocation. Flynn reveals his true name, Eugene Fitzherbert, and Rapunzel uses the glow of her hair to reveal a hidden underwater exit, allowing their escape.

Gothel returns to the tower to find the satchel and a wanted poster of Eugene. She makes a deal with the Stabbington brothers to locate Rapunzel and reclaim her power.

Rapunzel and Eugene enter the kingdom and attend a festival celebrating the lost princess. They spend the day together, and sail to watch the lanterns, where they confess their mutual love.

The Stabbington brothers trap Eugene and try to capture Rapunzel, but Gothel stages a rescue, knocks them out, and takes Rapunzel back to the tower.

Eugene is arrested, but Maximus and the pub thugs help him escape. Meanwhile, Rapunzel realizes she is the kingdom's lost princess and begins to embrace her true identity.

Eugene arrives at the tower; Gothel stabs him and tries to take Rapunzel away. In a decisive move, Eugene cuts Rapunzel's hair, causing Gothel to age rapidly and die. Rapunzel's tear, still carrying some magic, revives Eugene.

With Gothel gone, Rapunzel and Eugene return to Corona. Rapunzel reunites with her birth parents and Eugene is pardoned. The couple eventually marries as the kingdom celebrates their union.
