During the 1980s in Romania, a nation facing the absurdities of life under communism found solace in humorous urban myths. This film adapts those popular tales, showcasing how laughter served as a powerful form of resistance. The stories recount extraordinary events, from mayors suspending fruit from trees to trucks overflowing with eggs and reports of pigs poisoned by gas. These true accounts offer a glimpse into an era where survival depended on ingenuity, food held more value than money, and the hope for freedom overshadowed romantic love.
