Plot Summary
The two‑part series adapts Evelyn Waugh’s semi‑autobiographical World War II trilogy and was broadcast on Channel 4 in 2001. Daniel Craig portrays Guy Crouchback, a disillusioned aristocrat who, after a devastating divorce from the glamorous Virginia Troy, embarks on a heroic quest to fight for a higher moral cause and to reclaim his sense of manhood amid the chaos of war.
