Stretch

Stretch is thrown from his limo in a car accident but miraculously unharmed. He confronts Candace, the other driver, and is immediately drawn to her, sparking a romance that becomes his driving force. The incident marks the beginning of a dangerous, cyclical pattern driven by addiction and ambition.

After a year of dating, Stretch feels inspired to quit his addictions and propose. Candace abruptly ends the relationship to be with a wealthy athlete, shattering his hopes. He slides into a self-destructive spiral as his personal life crumbles.

Although he remains free of his addictions, Stretch carries a $6,000 gambling debt to the Mexican mafia. He is haunted by Karl, a bitter ghost of a former failed actor who killed himself in front of two customers, taunting him. The debt and the specter press him toward dangerous choices.

Naseem warns that The Jovi is stealing their clients and they must steal some of his to survive. The mafia patches on him that he must clear his debt by midnight, setting a brutal countdown over his head.

Stretch begs Charlie to steer high-paying clients his way, hoping for a generous tip to cover the debt. He also arranges a blind date, trying to turn his luck around as the clock ticks down.

The Jovi steals Stretch’s first client, actor David Hasselhoff. Charlie sends Stretch to intercept Ray Liotta's client instead, who tasks him with returning a prop pistol and badge to a studio, pulling him deeper into the scheme.

Charlie screens in Roger Karos, a reckless millionaire who offers to pay Stretch’s debt if he serves him for the night. Karos imposes a 99-minute clock to fetch a man across town, deliver a briefcase and cocaine back to the sex club.

Stretch enlists Laurent, a French criminal, who will exchange ledgers for the briefcase’s contents. Using Liotta's prop gun and badge, Stretch pretends to be a police officer, forcing Laurent and his men to surrender the briefcase.

Leaving the nightclub, Candace expresses interest, and Stretch, already playing a fantasy of success, coldly turns her down to savor his moment of control.

Naseem fires Stretch for missing props, and the limo's operating system is shut down remotely. Stretch improvises by convincing the system operator that his life is on the line as a cop, revives the limo, and escapes.

Stretch arranges to obtain Karos’ cocaine from a reality-television star, who then steals the limo, triggering a chase across the highway. He manages to reacquire the car, but Boris, The Jovi’s brother, closes in and forces another frantic pursuit.

Karos abandons Stretch at his final destination, revealing he never planned to tip the $6,000. Laurent arrives to arrest Karos for embezzlement, and Karos tries to kill him, but Stretch creates a diversion and escapes.

The next morning, Stretch meets Laurent at a diner and hands over the ledgers. Laurent declines to arrest Stretch and praises his acting, hinting at a possible reconciliation.

Stretch goes to the arranged meeting point for his blind date and discovers the woman is Charlie, one of his coworkers. They share a smile and kiss, suggesting a possible new start after the night’s chaos.
