Star Crystal

Set in the near future, the film situates a crewed Mars expedition in 2032. Technological advances allow interplanetary travel and onboard experimentation, but resource scarcity and sudden alien contact test the limits of human endurance and decision-making in a high-stakes environment.

The story moves from the red plains of Mars where the egg is discovered to the claustrophobic corridors of the SC-37, a stranded spacecraft. After detours at the space station L-5 (and its destruction), a small repair crew wrestles with scarce supplies as they drift toward Alpha-7. The settings span aboard a damaged ship, at orbital stations, and in the harsh vacuum of space where survival hinges on engineering ingenuity and interspecies trust.

Humans and GAR move from conflict to cooperation. The alien’s early hostility yields to trust as both sides learn from each other, culminating in a fragile but lasting partnership. The themes emphasize forgiveness, mutual aid, and shared goals in a crisis.
