S.S. Doomtrooper

SS Lieutenant Reinhardt arrives at the Citadel, a French castle repurposed as a German laboratory, and takes command from Ullman. Ullman shows three mutated dogs and explains his latest experiments. In a capsule, a soldier is injected and exposed to radiation; he collapses and becomes the Doomtrooper.

Captain Malloy forms a team of Allied prisoners and a Royal Marines ally to infiltrate German territory. They parachute in under heavy anti-aircraft fire, beginning the mission to destroy the Citadel. Two soldiers are separated from the main group and head toward the meeting point.

Johnson and Papadakis stumble upon the creature in a village. Bullets do little to it, and Johnson is knocked aside by a machine gun mounted on its arm. Papadakis prepares to fight, but the rest of the team arrives and drives it back long enough for Papadakis to escape.

The Doomtrooper slaughters the German squad and electrocuts its leader, thrilling Reinhardt. Ullman confides that the soldiers will be killed by it and urges more resources for the project.

The Allied soldiers seek shelter and stumble into a French Resistance hideout led by Mariette. They decide to team up to raid a nearby ammo dump, aiming to destroy the Citadel once the threat is contained.

That night the Doomtrooper attacks the hideout, slaughtering many Resistance fighters. Corporal Potter is briefly disabled by a grenade launcher, and Private Lewis twists his ankle during the escape as the creature loses track of the attackers.

Back at the Citadel, Reinhardt orders Ullman back to Berlin and signals an end to the Doomtrooper project. Enraged, Ullman shoots Reinhardt and his adjutant, then vows to breed more Doomtroopers.

On the way to the ammo dump the team encounters a German panzer; Papadakis kills the tank commander and they seize the tank. The Doomtrooper attacks but is stunned by a point-blank tank shot. Jones disguises himself as the tank commander to guide the team and draws guards away, enabling them to seize a guard post and blow the dump.

Malloy and Mariette lure the Doomtrooper into an ammunition bunker with a flamethrower and escape via the building’s elevator. The others seal the bunker door, imprisoning the creature, but Jean-Michele is electroshocked when the creature breaches the barrier.

The survivors press toward the Citadel, but a German sniper blocks their path. Jones is shot while providing cover fire; his family medallion had earlier deflected a bullet, hinting at luck. His sacrifice buys Malloy time to continue toward the castle.

Jones reappears with a rocket launcher, leading a diversion that allows the others to enter the castle. They kill guards and confront Ullman in the lab as the awakened Doomtrooper attacks; Ullman’s assistant is killed by the creature.

Malloy fights the Doomtrooper, cutting off its hand to slow it. A short-circuit attack and a fatal electrical jolt delivered through cables seal its fate. The creature collapses as the castle crumbles and the survivors escape.

Back in America, Malloy reports to General Carmichael that the project killed his friends and should never be recreated. He warns that unchecked ambition is ruinous, and the trio departs with the General’s car, leaving the nightmare behind.
