Srikanth

Srikanth Bolla is born visually impaired in Seetharamapuram village, Machilipatnam, in undivided Andhra Pradesh. His father rejoices at his name after cricketer Srikkanth, but the moment turns to dismay when the newborn is sightless. His mother intervenes, saving him from a grim fate, and the family begins a long, challenging journey shaped by his disability.

Despite his brilliance, Srikanth faces bullying in the local school because of his visual impairment. The mistreatment only fuels his determination to prove himself and excel against the odds.

The family moves to Hyderabad where Srikanth joins a special school and shines, proving his abilities in a supportive environment. However, his arrogance leads to expulsion, forcing him to seek new guidance.

Mentor Devika handholds him and helps him file a court case to allow him to study science as a subject, despite his high exam score of 98%. Her guidance lays the foundation for his future opportunities and belief that he can pursue ambitious goals.

Devika encourages him to study abroad, and he pursues higher education in the United States after being denied entry into IIT. This setback becomes a catalyst for his international aspirations.

Srikanth is selected as the first international visually impaired student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He overcomes barriers, including a challenging admission process, to join MIT.

On his way to the US, an international airport staff initially refuses to let a blind traveler board alone. He demonstrates his knowledge about planes and boarding procedures, and is eventually allowed entry.

At MIT, he receives support from two fellow students who help him navigate college life. Through social media, Swati becomes fascinated by him and their connection grows.

After graduation, Swati—now his girlfriend—urges him to realize his dreams by returning to India. This shift marks the move from academia to entrepreneurship.

Back in India, his mentor helps him start a computer institute, but the venture folds, teaching him resilience and the importance of learning from failure.

In 2012, Srikanth teams up with Ravi Mantha to launch Bollant Industries, a company that hires unskilled and differently-abled workers to create eco-friendly products. The mission emphasizes social impact and inclusive hiring.

After initial misunderstandings with his partner, Srikanth achieves a higher level of success with continued mentoring, guiding the company toward sustainable growth. The film highlights his perseverance and the mentor's ongoing influence.
