During the 1950s and 1960s, as the fight for civil rights unfolded in America, music became a powerful tool for change. This documentary explores how protest songs, folk melodies, and spiritual hymns fueled the movement, weaving together archival footage and interviews. Iconic tunes by artists like The Roots and John Legend highlight key events, from the Montgomery bus boycotts to the Selma marches, illustrating the profound connection between music and social justice. It’s a stirring chronicle of a generation finding its voice.
