After a police chase, bank robbers Eijima, Nojiri and Takasugi flee into the Japanese Alps and seek shelter at a remote inn. There they encounter a young woman, her father and mountaineer Honda, who are unaware of the criminals and treat them warmly. Honda volunteers to guide them over the mountains, but Eijima’s paranoia threatens the perilous trek for all.
