Smokey and the Bandit

Big Enos and Little Enos Burdette plan their boldest bootlegging operation yet. Their objective is to transport 400 cases of Coors Beer from Texarkana, Texas, to Atlanta within an astonishing 28 hours.

At the Lakewood Fairgrounds, the Burdettes encounter Bo 'Bandit' Darville, a well-known truck racer. They offer him a tempting sum of $80,000 to take on the beer-hauling challenge.

The journey kicks off from Texarkana, with Bandit starting an hour earlier than scheduled. With the aid of his buddy Cledus 'Snowman' Snow and his dog Fred, Bandit is ready to evade the law during this audacious mission.

An unexpected twist occurs when Carrie, a runaway bride, jumps into Bandit's vehicle. This surprising turn makes Bandit a target for the furious Sheriff Buford T. Justice, whose son was set to marry Carrie.

Sheriff Buford T. Justice embarks on a relentless pursuit to retrieve Carrie and capture Bandit. Their chase spans from Texas to Georgia, filled with humorous encounters and mishaps.

As they travel through Dixie, Bandit and Cledus face several hilarious scrapes that leave Sheriff Justice's cruiser in disarray. Their troublesome antics continue to attract law enforcement attention.

Bandit and Cledus receive unexpected assistance through their CB radio from a colorful array of characters. However, they remain blissfully unaware of the lawbreaking cargo they’re carrying.

Upon entering Georgia, Cledus has a tense moment with a motorcycle trooper from the Georgia State Patrol. Bandit bravely intervenes, enabling their escape through police roadblocks.

As they close in on the finish line, Bandit's confidence wavers due to the relentless police pursuit. However, Cledus encourages him, boosting his morale for the final stretch.

In a tense climax, Cledus takes charge and breaks through the last police roadblock at the fairgrounds' entrance. They emerge victorious with mere moments to spare, completing the rugged mission.

Instead of claiming their prize, Bandit and Carrie are offered a daring double-or-nothing gamble by Little Enos. They are tasked with transporting clam chowder from Boston in just 18 hours.

With the law hot on their heels, Bandit and Carrie make a swift escape in one of Big Enos's Cadillac. They leave a trail of chaos behind as they gear up for their next adrenaline-filled escapade.

As Bandit speeds away from the wreckage of Sheriff Buford's cruiser, he mischievously misleads Buford about his location. The chase reignites as Bandit finds himself closely pursued by the increasingly desperate sheriff.

Despite the battered state of Bandit's classic Pontiac, Sheriff Buford continues to pursue him. The car, once a symbol of speed and freedom, is now an unlikely target amid the chaos.
