Their hunt is thorough, and their approach blends brute force with cunning, aided by an aerial spy in the form of a hawk that circles over the town, keeping watch on every street and doorway.
When Varek finally learns Timothy’s location, he converges on the town with brutal intent. Nana stands as a shield, a protective matriarch who tries to slow the oncoming violence, but a gunfight erupts between Varek’s pack and the night-bound guardians of Timothy. In the ensuing chaos, Adam’s father is killed, and Nana sacrifices herself to create a path for Timothy and the others to escape.
