Siva Manasula Sakthi

On a train from Coimbatore, Siva and Sakthi strike up a friendship; Siva introduces himself as an army officer while Sakthi claims to be an air hostess. When they reach Chennai, Siva brings his mother Kalyani and his best friend Vivek to the airline office in hopes of meeting Sakthi again, only to be greeted by another woman with the same name. Siva quickly realizes he has been tricked, and the playful deception sets the stage for what follows.

In truth, Siva is a courier deliveryman and Sakthi a radio jockey. Once they discover each other’s deceptions, they vow to get revenge on one another, but their schemes soon give way to a growing, if rocky, attraction. A string of comic misfires unfolds: Siva teases Sakthi live on her radio show, pulling her into trouble with her father, while she retaliates by pulling him into family drama and using him as her driver. As the battles of pride and pranks continue, Sakthi’s initial hostility softens, and she begins to see Siva in a more caring light after he steps in to protect her younger brother, Shanmugam, and helps organize his marriage.

Sakthi’s feelings come to a head when she plans a birthday surprise for Siva, only to learn he has lied about his birth date. Humiliated in front of his family, she leaves him, and he must confront the consequences of his own behavior as he tries to win her back. The tension spills into family life, with Siva clashing with his mother and sister and even destroying [Vivek]’s new mobile phones in a moment of frustration. Yet forgiveness slowly returns, and their bond deepens—until a drunken incident at Sakthi’s office tests their fragile reconciliation. Enraged, Sakthi’s assistant is called, a confrontation ensues, and Siva finds himself suddenly disowned by Sakthi.

Months later, Sakthi’s father, Sakthi’s Father, arranges a meeting with a prospective groom, Arun. Siva, who happens to run into Arun, is presented as Sakthi’s close friend and sings her praises without ever revealing the truth about their fraught history. This ruse pushes Sakthi to realize her true feelings and she walks away from Arun, asking Siva to marry her. Although he apologizes and they begin to reconcile, a temple wedding is postponed when Siva unexpectedly withdraws from the plan, leaving Sakthi confused and hurt.

The two eventually come back together in a burst of renewed commitment, and they share a night of closeness. Yet the next morning brings another test when Siva resumes his playful, irreverent streak, and Sakthi realizes he may never take their relationship seriously. She leaves him again, but the story doesn’t end there.

Several months pass before Siva arrives at Sakthi’s home with his family to formally seek her hand in marriage. In a surprising moment, Sakthi faints and is revealed to be pregnant with Siva’s child. The two families react with a mix of laughter, exasperation, and good-natured skepticism as they surround the couple. The film closes with a two-year jump: Siva and Sakthi are married, they have a son, and Siva proudly tells him the tale of how he “got the girl,” sealing their story with humor, love, and the twists of fate that brought them together.
