In April 2020, Parker and Miri decide to quarantine together at Parker's family's secluded lake house, documenting the plan on Instagram. They arrive and settle in, hoping for a quiet retreat despite the pandemic. The arrangement establishes their close friendship and the isolation that will heighten later tension.

That evening, Parker and Miri begin receiving anonymous text messages from an unknown number, which unsettles both of them. The messages hint at being watched and create a growing sense of danger. The girls try to shrug it off as they settle in for the night.

An unknown visitor arrives in the driveway and enters through the back door, revealing himself as DJ, Parker's fling. Parker reluctantly allows him to stay the night, despite reservations about mixing exes with a deadly situation. The dynamic among the trio becomes tense and unpredictable.

While everyone sleeps, a masked intruder sneaks into the house and steals all their phones. DJ wakes, spots the intruder, and instructs Parker to exit and wait in his truck. The intruder's presence marks the true start of the house invasion.

The intruder targets Miri in her bedroom, while DJ attempts to intervene. The intruder overpowers DJ, stabbing him multiple times and fatally impaling him with a metal pike. The girls realize they are left incredibly vulnerable and must fight for survival.

Parker and Miri try to drive away but crash into a tree after discovering their tires have been slashed. They scramble to regroup and keep running from their pursuers. The sense of safety evaporates as the danger closes in.

They escape through the attic window, but the intruder ambushes Parker in the kitchen. She fights back and gains the upper hand, fatally wounding him. The arrival of a second masked attacker escalates the threat.

A second intruder arrives, distressed by his partner's fate. Parker distracts them toward the lake, and the two girls cross toward safety, seeking help at a neighbor's house. The danger extends beyond the house as the intruders press the chase.

Parker reaches a neighbor's house to plead for help, while Miri, back at the house or nearby, crafts a makeshift splint for her injured leg. The two separate threads widen the danger and delay rescue. The tension builds as both girls try to stay alive.

The first intruder regains consciousness and attacks Miri, who fights back and slashes his throat, killing him. Parker's earlier attempt to escape gets interwoven with Miri's defense. The battle continues as the second intruder remains at large.

Parker makes it to the highway and incapacitates the second intruder. A driver stops to help, but she cannot accept assistance because he wears a mask. The driver offers Parker a spare mask that is laced with chloroform, knocking her out.

Jason and Pamela reveal themselves as Parker's captors: a husband and wife who killed their elder son and claim Benji died of COVID-19. They admit Tyler Murphy's infection and Parker's role in Benji's death, turning the tragedy into a twisted revenge plot. The confrontation shifts from survival to accusation.

Miri attempts to contact the police via a laptop, but Jason notices the active Wi‑Fi and destroys the router. The escape routes shrink as the antagonists tighten their hold. The girls must improvise to keep the trail alive.

Pamela threatens Parker while Miri strikes the attacker with a liquor bottle, then Parker shoves Pamela through a window to break free. The immediate threat is interrupted by quick, desperate actions that create a window for escape. The sisters solidify their resolve to survive.

Jason returns upstairs, and Parker and Miri throw him over the banister onto deer antlers, killing him. They retreat to a nearby barn to recover and grab gasoline for a vehicle. Miri sets Pamela on fire, and she collapses on the road as police arrive, ending the pursuit.
