Sherdil

The film opens in 1965 with a Pakistani F-86 CAP over Pakistani airspace as Squadron Leader Sikandar and his wingman spot Indian Folland Gnats. Sikandar shoots down two Gnats, but his weapons jam at a critical moment. He sacrifices himself by crashing his jet into the final enemy to save his wingman.

In present day, Haris Mustafa, Sikandar's grandson, and his best friend Fawad chase their dream of becoming fighter pilots. Their parents oppose the idea, but Haris finds support from his grandmother, Sikandar's widow. After being accepted into the PAF academy, his father disowns him.

At the academy, Haris and Fawad befriend Harijeet, a Pakistani Sikh, forming a tight-knit circle of camaraderie. The trio supports each other through intense training, while Haris begins to understand the weight of his future as a fighter pilot.

Haris meets Sabrina during training and falls in love. Sabrina agrees to marry him only if he remains with the PAF, recognizing the need to balance love with his service to the country.

Haris is deployed to No. 16 Squadron 'Black Panthers', following in his grandfather's footsteps. He and Irfan scramble when two Indian Mirage 2000s enter Pakistani airspace, initiating a tense interception.

Irfan shoots down one Mirage, but debris damages his aircraft forcing a retreat. Haris engages the second Mirage in a fierce dogfight and barely escapes with his life.

Back at base, Haris learns of his grandmother's death, a personal blow that frames the cost of his duty. His superiors express disappointment at how close he came to losing the aircraft, and he is reluctantly sent to the International Flight School to further his education.

At the International Flight School, Haris meets Flight Lieutenant Arun Veerani, the Mirage 2000 pilot he faced earlier. The two start as rivals but gradually become friends.

Haris proposes to Sabrina, who agrees to marry him only if he stays with the PAF. They plan a wedding, but political tensions rise and threaten their future together.

Haris and Irfan are sent on a CAP as India threatens surgical strikes along the Kashmir area. They encounter multiple Mirage-2000s and push through intense combat.

During the dogfight, Haris hesitates to shoot Arun Veerani because of their friendship. After Irfan is shot down and calls for help, Haris retaliates by shooting down Arun’s Mirage. Arun ejects and survives, later stranded in Pakistani territory.

Haris returns to base to a warm reception; Irfan survives and is celebrated for defending Pakistan. Haris’s father attends the reunion with pride. Arun Veerani is shown alive, having ejected and ended up stranded in Pakistani territory.
