Li Weijie, his wife Ayu, and their two daughters, Ping Ping and An An, enjoy a modest yet fulfilling life in northern Thailand. Their family dynamic appears strong and peaceful as they engage in their daily routines, completely unaware that tragedy is about to disrupt their lives.

The tranquility of the family's life is shattered when Ping Ping suffers a horrifying assault at a summer camp. The son of the corrupt mayor, Su Cha, manipulates her into silence and then resorts to blackmail, creating an environment of fear and helplessness for Ping Ping.

Determined to protect her daughter, Ayu confronts Su Cha during a secret meeting at their home. The situation escalates quickly, resulting in a violent struggle that ends with Su Cha accidentally killed by Ping Ping, turning a victim into a perpetrator in an instant.

In a frenzied attempt to conceal their involvement, Ayu and Ping Ping hurriedly bury Su Cha’s body in the grave of Weijie's uncle at a nearby cemetery. This desperate act sets off a chain reaction that intertwines their fates with the cold, harsh realities of deception and guilt.

Unbeknownst to Ayu and Ping Ping, An An witnesses the burial of Su Cha’s body. The weight of this secret becomes a looming threat to the family’s stability, as the truth may surface and unravel their already precarious situation.

When news of the murder reaches Weijie, he takes immediate steps to protect his family from police investigation. He disposes of key evidence, including Su Cha's car, and concocts an alibi by fabricating a weekend trip to Hua Lamphong.

As police investigations proceed, the family undergoes intense interrogations led by La Wen. Weijie prepares them thoroughly on how to respond, teaching them to maintain their composure under pressure, hoping to keep the truth hidden.

Local officer Sang Kun, harboring a personal grudge against Weijie, catches him driving Su Cha’s car. Although his credibility is initially questioned, Sang Kun’s sharp intuition triggers suspicions in La Wen, leading her to investigate further.

A breakthrough comes when Sang Kun reveals Weijie's fascination with crime films, prompting La Wen to probe deeper into his shop. This leads to the discovery of his extensive movie list, which she suspects he may have used to orchestrate an elaborate deception.

La Wen, feeling the pressure to crack the case, resorts to manipulative tactics, targeting An An to extract a confession. This unethical approach adds a new layer of tension to the already strained family dynamics amidst the investigation.

In a desperate attempt to link Weijie to the crime, La Wen orders the exhumation of Su Cha's body, only to make a bizarre discovery—a goat's corpse instead. This shocking turn of events causes public outrage and rallies support for Weijie’s family.

The fallout from the exhumation leads to La Wen's suspension amid widespread allegations of corruption. Du Peng, the corrupt mayor, is forced to resign, and Weijie’s family regains public sympathy in the midst of this chaotic scandal.

Plagued by guilt from the entire ordeal, Weijie ultimately confesses his involvement in Su Cha's death to La Wen and Du Peng. This decision marks a critical point of no return for his family, leading to significant legal repercussions.

The story takes a chilling turn as it's revealed that Su Cha's body may have been moved to a nearby construction site where Weijie worked. This lingering possibility casts a shadow over the family's tragic experiences and serves as a reminder of their actions.
