Pierre Hoffman takes on a substitute teaching position at a prestigious school and quickly observes an unsettling hostility and a disturbing spark of violence among some of his students. He wonders if this behavior stems from a recent tragedy, their exceptional abilities, or a sense of despair about the future. Driven by curiosity, Pierre becomes increasingly obsessed with uncovering the secret behind their troubling behavior.
