Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie

Sandy decides to travel to Texas after discovering that the massive claw that lifted Bikini Bottom belongs to the B.O.O.T.S. Marine Biology Lab in Galveston, Texas. Since she previously worked at this lab, she has personal knowledge of the location and believes she can track down whoever is responsible for stealing the town. Her determination to save her home drives her to devise a plan to reach Texas despite the obvious dangers.

Sue is revealed to be an evil robot who was once human but lost her humanity to a piranha attack. This traumatic event turned her into a villain with sinister ambitions. Her plan involves genetically modifying fish into air-breathing creatures using the B.O.O.T.S. Laboratory's gene machines, essentially creating what she calls "sea pals" – a twisted version of underwater life that can survive above water.

Phoebe and Kyle, Sandy's former colleagues at the B.O.O.T.S. Lab, help Sue because she has been filling their empty vending machine with snacks. This seemingly mundane reward is enough to earn their loyalty, which Sandy finds ironic given the magnitude of Sue's evil plan. Their allegiance highlights how small temptations can lead people to support questionable causes.

During the flight to Texas, Sandy accidentally kicks SpongeBob off the wing of the airplane. She catches him mid-air and glides gracefully, revealing her true identity as a flying squirrel. Sue uses a genetic modification paste at the B.O.O.T.S. Laboratory to transform fish into air-breathing beings. One of these mini SpongeBobs encourages Sandy not to lose faith in retrieving Bikini Bottom, helping to rally her spirits during the climactic confrontation. The cloning machine represents Sue's attempt to create an army, but the mini SpongeBobs instead become allies.

Sandy decides to rally everyone against Sue after feeling overwhelmed by the situation and realizing she needs help to stop Sue's evil plan.
