The bumbling camper‑van family, led by Dad and Mum (David Lodge, Joan Sims), constantly clash with the local gendarme. Lewd Grandad (Wilfred Brambell) teams up with a deranged former German soldier (Ron Moody) for his own misadventures. Saucy hitchhiker Barbara Windsor flirts with fellow traveller Ronnie Stevens, sparking comic shenanigans. By weekend’s end the French are eager to say “au revoir” to these trouble‑making visitors.
