In Cape Town, South Africa, former CIA operative Tobin Frost acquires a data storage device from rogue MI6 agent Alec Wade. This action sets off a chain of events that puts Frost in danger shortly thereafter.

Mercenaries led by Vargas suddenly attack, resulting in the death of Alec Wade. Frost, realizing the gravity of the situation, surrenders to the American consulate, seeking safety from his pursuers.

Frost is moved to a local safe house managed by inexperienced agent Matt Weston. Weston struggles to keep control as Frost undergoes questioning from a veteran agent, Daniel Kiefer, highlighting the perilous nature of their situation.

Kiefer employs brutal interrogation tactics, including waterboarding, raising tension between Weston and the experienced agent. Weston's discomfort grows as he witnesses the extremes to which his colleagues will go.

As Weston walks the streets of Paris, he catches a glimpse of Ana reading a note from him. Their brief connection filled with understanding gives both a glimmer of hope amid the turmoil they faced.
