A heist unfolds at the DID bank in Pondicherry as the robbers take multiple hostages. The police close in and a college student is killed in the ensuing standoff. The opening sets up the rivalry between the robbers and the authorities.

Sundaram saves a girl from being molested and seeks 'stuff' from David Raj, claiming his friend Moorthy asked him to arrange it for 10,000 rupees to sell at 20,000. David Raj, realizing Sundaram is a fool, misleads him and sends 1 crore worth of heroin without Sundaram's knowledge. The plan is designed to trap Sundaram and draw police attention away from Raj's base.

Sundaram and his friend Vellai discover the package and initially mistake its contents for toothpaste powder. The real contents are drugs, and the confusion leads to the moneylender and his assistant getting caught by the police for drug dealing. The comedic misdirection drives the early chaos of the plot.

Sundaram (alias Shiva) phones a TV station where Priya works and reveals that he is Ram Mohan's brother, insisting that Moorthy call him else he will jump. Priya alerts the police and they trace the caller by a message on a wall. The revelation seeds the deceptive game that drives the early conflict.

After several encounters, Priya begins to like Shiva, but he insists she cannot fall for him. The relationship remains strained as she tries to pierce his facade. The emotional tension tightens the plot.

Ram Mohan announces plans to take Priya to the United States, while Shiva resists losing her. Priya discovers more about the tangled web around them and ultimately throws Shiva out of the house. The personal and political web widens, pushing the characters toward a dangerous confrontation.

In a crisis, Shiva plans to commit suicide by setting himself on fire on a rooftop. Ram Mohan arrives too late to prevent the tragedy, and Shiva dies as Priya and the others watch in shock. The death becomes a turning point that exposes the truth behind the lies.

Following eerie happenings and burned passports, Priya and Vellai realize Shiva may still be alive. Ram Mohan deduces that Shiva is Sundaramoorthy, and the man they believed to be Moorthy is something else, reshaping alliances. The mystery deepens as truths begin to surface.

Moorthy fights Ram Mohan and finally reveals his motive: Ram Mohan and his brother Shiva robbed the bank and killed Priya's father; Moorthy's sister was the college student killed earlier in the film. His mother dies of shock upon learning the truth, underscoring the personal cost of vengeance. The revelation reframes the entire conflict.

In a concluding confrontation, Moorthy defeats Ram Mohan by throwing him off a building. He then rides away with Priya, leaving behind the web of deceit and vengeance that defined the film. The final shot resolves the central tragedy with a grim sense of justice.
