Rudhramadevi

Murari Devudu and Hari Hara Devudu plot to usurp Ganapati's throne and destabilize the kingdom of Orugallu. Their scheming marks the early threat to the Kakatiya dynasty as Rudramadevi is still a glint in the future. The political tension surrounding the capital grows as rivals seek to weaken Ganapati's rule.

A priest foresees that Rudramadevi will be a girl who could save the kingdom. On hearing the prediction, Murari Devudu and Hari Hara Devudu murder the priest to erase the prophecy and prevent any challenge to their power. This act heightens the sense that a hidden queen might one day ascend the throne.

Rudramadevi is born a girl, but Ganapati orders the name Rudrama to present a male successor. The secret is carefully kept to protect the realm and preserve the throne. The birth sets in motion a covert approach to female leadership.

Rudrama is brought up and trained in a prince's manner, under the watchful eyes of the court. She learns governance, warfare, and diplomacy as if she were destined to rule. The upbringing conceals her true gender while shaping her leadership.

Years later Rudrama is summoned for coronation as the crown prince. She befriends Veerabhadra and forms a friendly rivalry with Gona Ganna Reddy, a neighboring prince. The stage is set for a complex political landscape around the royal family.

Rudrama accompanies her peers on a river outing and discovers her own gender after seeing a statue of a woman. Her mother reveals the reason for keeping the truth from everyone, to protect the kingdom. Rudrama swears to live as a boy until the realm's safety is secured.

In a sporting event, Naga Devudu challenges Rudrama to defeat a raging elephant. The match is rigged to prevent a fair result, yet Rudrama wins, earning admiration from many, including Muktamba. The act cements her popularity and legitimacy in the eyes of the people.

Gona Ganna Reddy, once Rudrama's playmate, returns as a leader of the opposition and tries to arrest her. He escapes custody and signals that a loyalist faction is forming against Ganapati's rule. This defection deepens the political crisis.

Ganapati arranges Rudrama's marriage to Muktamba to strengthen political alliances. To protect her secret, Rudrama tells Muktamba she has taken a vow of celibacy. A spy overhears the vow, putting her cover at risk.

A spy reveals Rudramadevi's true identity to the people, and Siva Devayya chooses to disclose the truth publicly. The revelation enrages the populace and erodes faith in Ganapati's rule. Rudramadevi's bid to rule is suddenly in jeopardy.

The people revolt; Murari and Hari Hara seize power through a secret passage. Siva Devayya dies of a heart attack before he can be killed by the conspirators. The throne remains unstable as the usurpers tighten their grip.

Desperate citizens rally around Rudrama as she forms an opposition army with the help of those who still support the rightful queen, including a faked-death Siva Devayya. She also encounters Gona Ganna Reddy's army on the path to reclaim the throne.

Rudrama and Gona Ganna Reddy unite their armies to challenge Murari, Hari Hara, and the Devagiri forces. The coalition gathers strength, anticipating a decisive confrontation to restore the kingdom.

The united forces defeat the usurpers and the Devagiri threat, allowing Rudrama to reclaim the throne. She marries Chalukya Veerabhadra and becomes the first queen of South India, restoring stability to the kingdom.
