Celebrating fifteen years of solitude on a desert island, Robinson Crusoe and his companion Cuma are disrupted by the arrival of a ship. Aboard is Viktor, an adventurer fleeing a restrictive world with his animals, seeking a new place to survive. He is accompanied by his two daughters, Donelya and Yanarin, raised under strict abbey discipline. Welcoming the newcomers, Robinson and Cuma find their quiet life transformed, and soon develop affections for the alluring young women. However, Viktor, a protective father, presents a significant challenge to their pursuit of love.

A violent storm wrecks the voyage, leaving Crusoe and Aynsley trapped below deck with Mal and May. The crew escapes with their lives, and Crusoe is knocked unconscious by a Lantern. Aynsley mourns as his master lies injured and helpless.

Crusoe awakens on a mysterious island

Crusoe regains consciousness on the island the next day and begins to search for a way off. He notices a curious group of island animals watching him from a distance: Kiki the kingfisher, Scrubby the elderly goat, Carmello the chameleon, Rosie the tapir, Pango the pangolin, Tuesday the scarlet macaw, and Epi the echidna. The stage is set for a fragile new world.

During the chaos, Aynsley is pinned under a falling door as the wreckage bursts into flames and dies. The animals mourn, believing Tuesday has perished in the explosion. Mal and May are swept away by the sea and end up stranded on Curse Island.

Crusoe, soaked and grieving, slowly finds new friends among the island inhabitants. Scrubby suffers a heart attack, but the others approach Crusoe with growing trust. They help him begin building a home.

Mal and May survive on bugs as May bears more kittens, and they eventually manage to return to the main island with plans to end Crusoe's peaceful life. The cats pose a renewed threat to Crusoe and his friends.

Crusoe's friends lure the cats into a wooden watchtower he built and bring it down, sending Mal and May into the black water. The collapsing structure also forces debris to drift, used as a raft for their escape.

Tuesday rescues Crusoe; pirates arrive

Just as the survivors begin to celebrate, Tuesday spots smoke and frees Crusoe from under the burning ship. A pirate crew, led by Long John Silver, arrives and captures Crusoe to take him aboard their ship the following morning.

On the pirate ship, Crusoe tells his version of events to the captain while Tuesday enlists Rufus and Cecil, the ship mice, to tell the true story. The conflicting accounts set the stage for a tense reckoning as Crusoe ponders his options.

Escape back to the island; cats join the pirates

Crusoe realizes the pirates do not intend to sail for England, prompting an escape plan. With Tuesday's help, he, Tuesday, and the mice slip away back to the island. The surviving cats are taken aboard by the pirates as their new pets/ratters.
