Revenge of the Pink Panther

Philippe Douvier, a notable French businessman secretly running the French Connection, faces scrutiny from his New York Mafia associates. They doubt his capabilities in managing their illicit operations, creating tension within the organization.

Douvier's aide, Guy Algo, suggests a bold plan to eliminate the famous Chief Inspector Jacques Clouseau. This sets off a series of attempts to assassinate the bumbling detective and eliminate the perceived threat he poses to their operations.

Douvier orchestrates his first attempt on Clouseau's life using a bomb, which results in a spectacular failure. Clouseau remains oblivious to the danger, showcasing his usual charm and luck.

A martial artist known as 'Mr. Chong' is sent to finish the job but meets the same fate as the bomb. Clouseau, mistaking him for his valet Cato, manages to fend him off, highlighting his knack for comedic confusion.

In another attempt to rid himself of Clouseau, Douvier attempts to lure him into a trap over the phone. However, his plans are thwarted when a transvestite criminal steals Clouseau's car and clothing, leading to unintended chaos.

News of Clouseau's fake death sends shockwaves, motivating his former superior, Charles Dreyfus, to regain his sanity to investigate the incident. The ironic twist is that Clouseau is alive but disguised in the meanwhile.

Clouseau, now in disguise, unknowingly enters the psychiatric ward and hides in Dreyfus’ closet. The comedic moment arises when Dreyfus discovers him and faints out of shock, adding to the comedic misadventures.

Upon his return home, Clouseau finds that Cato has transformed their apartment into a bizarre Chinese-themed brothel. The reunion is filled with joy as they plan their revenge against Douvier, fueled by their comedic bond.

During Clouseau's funeral, Dreyfus struggles to maintain his composure while reading Clouseau's eulogy, inadvertently leading mourners to believe he is grieving. Clouseau, disguised as a priest, comedically reveals himself, causing Dreyfus to faint again.

As Douvier's personal life unravels, his wife confronts him with evidence of his infidelity and illegal activities. This leads to tension between them and sets the stage for dangerous decisions in his criminal dealings.

Douvier, seeking to silence his secretary Simone, orders her assassination while at a nightclub. However, in a fortunate turn, Clouseau and Cato manage to save her just in time, marking a pivotal moment in their quest.

Simone reveals Douvier’s plan to meet with mafia godfather Julio Scallini in Hong Kong to negotiate a $50 million heroin deal. Clouseau, Cato, and Simone decide to thwart Douvier’s plans by following him.

Clouseau disguises himself as Scallini in an attempt to infiltrate the meeting, while Simone creates a diversion. However, their plan quickly starts to unravel as they encounter unforeseen complications.

During the climax of the Gannet Transaction, Clouseau's blunders lead to a chaotic chase when Dreyfus inadvertently sets off fireworks in a warehouse. The ensuing mayhem results in Douvier and Scallini getting captured.

In the aftermath of the chaotic events, Clouseau is celebrated by the President of France for his efforts. The film concludes on a light-hearted note with Clouseau enjoying a romantic evening with Simone.
