Recep is publicly reprimanded by a police officer for harassment but is let off. On his way home, he finds a hotel owner's wallet and later recognizes Muhsin Basaran on TV. Motivated by respect, he decides to embark on a road trip to return the wallet.

Recep begins the journey to locate Basaran and return the wallet. Along the route, he helps young girls with a dead car battery and even joins a dance circle with locals. His kindness earns him a hitch with a group of eccentric rock band members when his car breaks down.

While hitching with the band, Recep gets intoxicated and ends up at a restaurant where another man challenges him to win a car ride. He accepts, performs a showy routine, and wins the ride as the crowd cheers. The night ends with him feeling triumphant yet uneasy about what lies ahead.

Recep learns the driver is homosexual, which unsettles him. Despite his discomfort, he stays in the journey for a while but ultimately leaves the truck when the driver makes advances. The road trip continues with new uncertainties.

Recep finally hands the wallet back to Basaran at a hotel and unexpectedly sees his childhood love, Sibel. He decides to extend his stay, hoping to reconnect with her, rather than continue the trip immediately. The prospect of seeing Sibel reshapes his plans.

Hotel life proves chaotic as Recep locks himself out in a bath towel, upsetting the manager, Erim. He bonds with a hotel receptionist over a drink, and Erim assigns the receptionist to keep an eye on him to prevent further mishaps. The hotel becomes the new stage for Recep's antics.

The next morning, Recep accidentally knocks Sibel into a pool, sparking a brief quarrel. To his surprise, Sibel doesn’t recognise him at first, leaving him puzzled and frustrated by the lack of recognition.

Recep buys summer attire and tries to join Sibel’s volleyball game, but she refuses. Undeterred, he plays for the opposing team and helps them win, yet Sibel declines the trophy he offers as a gesture of celebration.

To impress Sibel, Recep asks to join aerobics, and Erim obliges but outfits him in embarrassing pink attire. He attends the class and performs awkwardly, unsettling Sibel while Erim laughs at the spectacle.

An aquatic instructor reminds the group of their scuba class; Recep joins and irritates the instructor with rude antics. He slips away to an island where an adult film is being shot, disrupts it, then returns to scold Sibel and her mother for not finding him, triggering memories of Recep’s grandmother’s death.

Back at the hotel, Recep phones in a plan to attend the hotel disco with the receptionist. At the disco, he ends up in a partner game where his partner is the same massage client, and the weight of the chair breaks. The moment ends with Recep fat-shaming his partner in frustration.

Recep is caught drinking from a display fountain by Erim, who berates him for insulting his game partner and causing problems. In retaliation, Recep threatens to bring down the hotel with his trucker friends, leaving Erim confused about who is really in charge. Moments later, the truckers arrive and back Recep up, complicating Erim’s authority.

On the beach, Sibel breaks off her engagement after confessing her growing feelings for Recep, prompting her mother to intervene. Recep comforts Sibel, but a dangerous horse incident endangers her mother; Recep rushes to save her, yet Sibel misinterprets it as assault and berates him. Exhausted, Recep collapses on a floating tube as a speedboat lurches forward and throws him into the sea.

The next morning, Recep and his receptionist share a moment while he tries to lift the mood, but Sibel explains she is engaged and cannot return his feelings. He decides to leave the hotel and asks the receptionist to deliver a bag of marbles to Sibel as a memento. As Erim fires the receptionist for Recep’s behavior, Recep rushes to the airport, delivering the marbles himself; Sibel discovers they are from their shared childhood and realises Recep was her long-lost childhood love.

In a final twist, Sibel realises the marbles are a childhood keepsake and that Recep was her long-lost first love. The revelation reframes their journey and leaves the door open for a future, even as they part ways for now. The film closes on the pair’s quiet, hopeful recognition of what could have been.
