After Kora defeated him at the ambush in Gondival, the Imperium recovered his body and brought him back to life, sending him back to Veldt with orders to confront the so-called Scargiver.

Kora was compelled by her adoptive father, Regent Balisarius, to participate in assassinating the Motherworld's king, queen, and their young daughter Princess Issa. This coup was driven by Balisarius' fear of losing power, and the traumatic event led Kora to flee to Veldt seeking redemption and a new life.

No, Princess Issa is revealed to be alive at the end of the movie. After Kora confesses her role in the assassination, Titus reveals that Princess Issa survived and has been in hiding. This discovery motivates the group to restore her to the throne and overthrow Balisarius.
