The movie begins with siblings Daniel and Alex playing inside their mansion while being watched by a man. Daniel hides Alex in a closet before being approached by Charles, a wounded man who pleads for help, but Daniel alerts the family instead. The family drags Charles away, ending in his grisly fate, establishing a dark family tradition.

Thirty years later, Alex is getting married to Grace in the same mansion. The family gathers for the wedding, with members including Daniel, Charity, Tony, Helene, and Becky. The family’s wealth is attributed to a game-based tradition, and Grace faces initial disapproval from some family members.

During the wedding celebrations, the family gathers for a midnight game, drawing a card from a mysterious box that determines the game. Grace draws the game 'Hide and Seek,' which triggers the horrifying tradition where the family hunts and tries to kill her before dawn to uphold their legacy.

Grace is instructed to hide until dawn while the family arms themselves with weapons. Alex warns her and tries to help her escape. A gunshot destroys Clara’s face, mistakenly fired by Emilie, alerting everyone that Grace is in danger. The family begins hunting her, believing she must be killed to uphold the game.

Grace fends off her family, hiding in various locations. She steals weapons and manages to escape outside, trying to find safety. During her escape, she gets shot in the hand and falls into the Goat Pit, a gruesome trap filled with previous victims. She climbs out and runs into the night, determined to survive.

As Grace navigates the mansion's grounds, she encounters more family members trying to hunt her down. Daniel struggles with his family's actions and ultimately helps her escape temporarily. The family's plan shifts as they try to locate her using cameras, reflecting a mix of traditional and modern tactics.

Grace is captured and brought back to the mansion, where the family prepares her for a ritual meant to sacrifice her to Mr. Le Bail. Alex struggles with his loyalty to his family and his love for Grace, while others prepare for the final act, believing it will ensure their wealth continues.

During the ritual, Grace is held hostage as the family begins to corruptively consume something to make themselves sick. Daniel frees her, and she fights to escape as chaos erupts. Charity shoots Daniel, and Grace fights her way through the chaos, trying to survive the deadly tradition.

As the sun rises, the family members, corrupted by their tradition, start killing each other, exploding into bloody messes. Alex tries to save Grace but ultimately succumbs as the house burns around them. Grace fights her way out amidst the chaos and devastation.

Grace escapes the burning mansion, injured but alive. She sits on the steps, smoking, as police and paramedics arrive. When asked what happened, she quietly responds, 'In-laws,' encapsulating the chaos and her survival after the deadly family tradition.
