The goddess left her shrine because a local zamindar attempted to steal the jewelry that adorned her idol. Fearing for her safety and that of her devotees, she made the bold choice to walk away in search of a safer location where she could continue protecting those who worshipped her.

Meena fell under the spell of Seemadorai, who disguised himself as a benevolent suitor. Although the goddess clearly disapproved of the match and sensed his true malicious nature, Meena was drawn by his false kindness and the possibilities he presented, leading her to marry him despite the divine warning.

The goddess's clear disapproval during the marriage foreshadows the tragedy that follows.

After Meena married Seemadorai, his relative Ramesh along with Meena's sister killed Gopal. This act was part of the escalating threat against the siblings, as Seemadorai's true malignant intentions began to unfold, leading to the murder of Gopal as a way to break the divine protection the goddess had granted.

To intervene and protect her devotee Meena after Gopal's death, the goddess entered Ramesh's house in disguise as Gayathri, a woman who had returned from the USA. This allowed her to be near Meena and work to ease her suffering while planning to confront the danger threatening her family.

When Seemadorai attempted to demolish the shrine during worship, the goddess revealed her protective fury and struck him with a deadly sting to the eyes. This was her divine retribution for attacking the sacred space that had long sheltered her devotees and for his role in the violence against Gopal.

As Meena tried to protect her husband from the goddess's wrath, her sindoor (the vermilion powder symbolizing married life) was washed away in the rain. This moment represented a poignant collision between sacred marital ritual and the mortal peril facing the couple, symbolizing how the marriage was being destroyed by Seemadorai's actions.

Manickam, the pet snake, intervened to stop the goddess from killing Seemadorai by using its own blood as sindoor. This miraculous act represented the snake taking on the role of a protective husband figure, using its own life force to symbolically maintain the marriage bond and halt the goddess's lethal advance.

After Manickam's blood stopped the goddess, Seemadorai was moved to tears and genuine remorse as he recognized the truth of what had transpired. He begged for forgiveness, and in a moment of mercy, the goddess chose to forgive him and bless both Meena and Seemadorai with the hope of a long, peaceful marriage, emphasizing the story's theme of redemption and forgiveness.

Touched by the siblings' kindness, Meena offering milk and Gopal entertaining with his pungi, the goddess vowed to protect them. She manifested herself into a stone idol as a symbolic and lasting presence that the children could worship and rely on, binding their fate to her divine protection.

After the resolution, Meena continues to maintain her connection with Rajakali Amman. She regularly meets the goddess, allowing the divine presence to remain a steady guide in her life. The story closes with Meena's enduring faith and the couple blessed with a harmonious married life.
