Pyaar Prema Kaadhal

Sree, an IT employee from Chennai, develops a crush on Sindhuja after she joins his office. She invites him to hang out at a club, giving him a glimpse of her independent, modern side. Their initial connection marks the start of a complicated romance.

At the club, Sree sees Sindhuja drink, swear, and party hard, which surprises him. He learns that her carefree lifestyle contrasts with his reserved nature. This realization foreshadows the turbulent dynamic of their relationship.

The two get stuck in an elevator and share an instinctive kiss, leading Sindhuja to bring Sree home. They have sex, and Sree declares his love for her. Sindhuja's feelings remain unclear at this moment.

To his shock, Sindhuja rejects the idea of romance, insisting they are only friends. She calls their intimacy a casual indulgence, and Sree leaves her house in disgust. The pair agrees to try a platonic friendship for now.

At a party, Sindhuja tries to get intimate with a drunk Sree, triggering a confrontation. He shouts at her and unexpectedly reveals their sexual encounter to everyone. Sindhuja admits she loves him, but the moment is ruined, ending the party on a tense note.

Sree seeks help from the tailor Thangaraj and his colleague Satish to reconcile with Sindhuja. He also joins dance classes run by Sindhu's father, and through these efforts they patch up.

As per Sindhu's wish, they start dating without Sree's parents knowing, moving into a rented house near his home. They plan a daily routine to keep his parents oblivious to their life together.

One night, Sree reveals Sindhu's birthday after significant effort to trace it. The gesture touches her deeply and her earlier aggressiveness subsides as their bond deepens.

Sree pushes for marriage, but Sindhu refuses, holding onto her dream of opening a restaurant in Los Angeles. The mismatch in priorities strains their relationship and tests their commitment.

Sree's mother pushes for an arranged marriage while Sindhu's father invites them to a dance show. With his mother ill, Sree uses family obligations to delay and ultimately agrees to marry a bride chosen by his parents.

The day before the wedding, Sindhu visits to bid him goodbye. She learns he intends to marry as his parents demand, and she rushes back to the wedding venue only to find the ceremony already over, shattered and in tears.

Three years pass: Sindhu opens her dream restaurant and discovers Sree is getting a divorce. Their families discuss love, abortion, and the possibility that happy live-in arrangements might be better than unhappy marriages. The elders realize both have vanished for three days.

In the final scenes, Sree and Sindhu are seen having sex in secret as their parents call them. Their perspectives have reversed: Sree now leans toward live-in, while Sindhu longs for marriage.
